Marking his 14th original album and his first in two years since Saisei, Tokyohum is a concept album built around the theme of “the heartbeat of the city.” Across ten tracks, the album captures the current creative vision of DJ Krush, who has spent the past 34 years continuously pushing the boundaries of hip-hop and exploring new forms of musical expression. Featured guest artists include Riko Dan (UK), MC Yallah (Kenya/Uganda), and ELIM (Japan). The cover artwork showcases an original drawing by internationally acclaimed B-boy sculptor Taku Obata, created on one of DJ Krush’s own records. The CD and cassette editions, also include instrumental versions of the three guest-featured tracks as bonus tracks.
