Born from the Perpignan garage scene in the South of France – built on self-production, independent labels, and a strong international network – Ghost Twist bring together musicians active for decades in Perpignan’s most iconic line-ups. Its members have evolved within key bands (Beach Bitches, Sonic Chicken 4, Crank) and collaborated with Pascal Comelade, Harlan T. Bobo, and the Liminanas, with releases on acclaimed labels like In The Red, Born Bad, Goner and Trouble In Mind. Formed in 2018, Ghost Twist developed a raw rock sound rooted in the 1960s, shaped by oriental and tropical atmospheres inspired by compilations like ‘Jungle Exotica’ or ‘Las Vegas Grind’. Over time, the band has broadened its sonic palette and incorporated a wide range of influences: from cumbia to the hip-hop of Cypress Hill, from Sonic Youth-style dissonances to Fela Kuti’s afro grooves, all the way to country accents.
